About the School

Situated between the Apuane Alps and Tuscany’s beautiful Riviera-style seaside, Toscana Saporita offers its guests an opportunity to live the way Tuscans do and observe the daily rhythms of local life from the vantage point of a working estate in the quiet Lucca province of northwest Tuscany.

Classes at Toscana Saporita are small, hands-on and taught in English by Sandra Lotti and her staff of professional chef instructors. Guests range from kitchen novices to seasoned chefs, and the lessons take place in a spacious, modern kitchen using professional-quality equipment.

During their stay, guests live in a modernized 18th-century villa on a historic estate surrounded by olive trees, where the noble family is still in residence and produces their own olive oil in an on-site press that is one of the last of its kind in the area. Situated about 30 minutes north of Pisa and an hour west of Florence, it’s an ideal point from which to explore one of Tuscany’s most beautiful and diverse regions.

The Toscana Saporita program is all-inclusive, so the price includes all accommodations, meals (and accompanying wine), transportation, air/rail transfers, tours and gratuities. There are no hidden costs or extras.
